Grilled Chicken Sandwiches – Simple, Juicy, and Flavorful!
Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
4 sandwich rolls or buns
1 cup lettuce (shredded)
1 tomato (sliced)
4 slices cheese (optional, like Swiss or cheddar)
Condiments: mayo, mustard, or BBQ sauce (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Season the Chicken:
Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
Rub both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Grill the Chicken:
Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is nicely grilled.
If adding cheese, place a slice of cheese on each chicken breast during the last minute of grilling to melt.
Prepare the Sandwich Rolls:
While the chicken is grilling, slice the sandwich rolls or buns in half. You can toast them lightly on the grill for extra crunch if you like.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun.
Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and any condiments of your choice (mayonnaise, mustard, or BBQ sauce).
Serve and Enjoy:
Close the sandwiches with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately with your favorite side (fries, chips, or a salad).
Pro Tip: For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite marinade for an hour before grilling!
